Work-in-progress

I currently have four novelettes on the go, all at different stages:

I have finished editing Here I Am - novelette number five - a story about a young woman who suffers from anxiety. I have sent it to a new contact of mine to read, in order to get another opinion on it before I start the process of self-publishing.

I met my friend and original proofreader recently for lunch. She's just read novelette number six for me (which has the provisional title of The B Word) and as usual she has made some insightful comments. Between us we spark off new ideas and I always come away from our meetings feeling fired-up and creative.

I'm in the process of typing up novelette number seven, which has baking as one of its themes. I'm having a lot of fun with this story. When I write a new story I tend to write segments here and there - not in any order - so it's like a jigsaw trying to put it all together.

And I'm also writing novelette number eight, which has OCD as one of its themes.

Phew! Is that enough for the time being?

I only envisage releasing one more novelette this year, and that will be Here I Am. The rest will be published in 2017. Watch this space for further updates. :)
